Downhiller Shop Summary: small but packed with all you need for dh biking. You don't get crazy trying to choose the best dh bike you need: the ones you find there are the best selection anyway. Good selection of road bikes too if you are one of those who love to train on the flat Customer Service: straight, honest, no fooling around. Don't try to talk about price: the one you get from Patricia or Anthony will be the best price on earth anyway! They know what they do, and if they don't they tell you.
Since the selection of models is not huge be sure you know exactly the size you need Other Comments: I bought there two bikes already and I came the whole way from France! They help you with all packaging and "bike oldening" issues for shipment to Europe.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: I found this shop through the internet and wanted to have a back up just in case my main shop wasn't available and they proved themselves to be worth the 45 minute trip. They have Eyecandy and and sweat supply of Mountain bikes with nice ranges in price, when I am in Brooklyn they are my #1 choice. Anthony and his mother make things happen in that store and get on whatever your looking for if they don't already have it in the shop which will be rare but they are on getting it pronto. They have beaten prices on highend pieces no one else could match Big Ups to Brooklyns best Bike shop. Customer Service: Can't feel anymore comfortable in a bike shop than this, very knoweledgeable and well stocked. Also a healthy sense of humor, I wish them more years in this business because if it weren't for businesses like this in Brooklyn, we who ride mountain bikes would have one less great outlet for our demanding and rewarding hobby.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: Looking to purchase Chris King Hubs, then have them professionally laced to your rims... this is your place. Looking for a small size Santa Cruz VP free in orange... they have it. Ti XC Merlin frame, Kona Freeride bike, Norco hardtail dirt jumper, Pro level BMX, 16 lb Road bike... this is your place. Customer Service: Bay Ridge Bikes may be small but it's packed to the ceiling with high-end bikes and components. And if they don't have it in stock they can get it within a week. Best of all, their prices are almost as good as the web retailers.
The mechanics are very competent. The can handle 98% of any repair or work. If they can't fix it, they'll have it done by the manufacturer and shipped back to the shop within a week. Other Comments: The owner Patrice is a riot... steriotypical, Marlboro smoking, loud, and abbrasive Italian woman with a big heart.
