Arc de Triomphe Bike Shop
4 reviews
 4.25 of 5

This shop has been in the neighborhood since 1975. Russell, the owner, took over the shop from his dad. The shop provides excellent service in every aspect with extremely fair pricing. They are prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable about all aspects of mountain biking. Even more importantly, they support local mountain biking organizations and promote trailbuilding and responsible trail usage. This is the kind of shop everyone dreams of having in their neighborhood. A definite asset to the MTB community in NYC and well worth the trip from any of the other boroughs or surrounding counties. Keep up the great work. My bike and I both thank you.

Shop Summary:
The shop has a wide variety of brands and equipment that a novice can go in and purchase.

Customer Service:
The customer service somewhat nice but at the end of purchasing a Cannondale for myself, the sales rep only wanted to sell me the bike. At the end the bike was to big, something that could have been avoided if they took proper measurements. They insisted that the bike was appropriate for me just by sizing me up with there eyes instead of taking an accurate measurement.

Other Comments:
As for the technical aspect, the technicians know exactly what they are doing. I suggest that no beginner go in without some knowledge of bikes.

Shop Summary:
The shop carries all that you need for your riding experience. Their products range from that of casual to competitive riders.

Customer Service:
They are second to none. They stand by their repairs and sales.

Other Comments:
I have been a customer of the shop since the late 1970s. They are craftsman in all of their repairs and sell quality bicycles at competitive prices. I relocated from Queens to the Bronx. I still take the trip to Queens to get whatever I need for my bicycle and my kids bicycles.

Shop Summary:
Excellent - learned a lot from the owner and crew there, and I worked at another shop, as well.

Customer Service:
Friendly and courteous and knowledgable.

Other Comments:
When it come to not only talking the talk but someone who can walk the walk as well, Russell and Co. have it hands down. The shop has been around a long time, they are skilled riders all, and I'm proud to be a good customer there. There may be shops of of flashier displays and bike bling, but if you want substance and care of workmanship over hacks, bait and switchers, and snooty pretenders to the throne, look no further. You mofos rock. Thank you all.

Excellent!!! This is what makes the difference between a good shop and a great shop. Arc de Triomphe is top notch in service both to the bike and the customer. Very detailed oriented.
