Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: At first glance this shop has alot of options on Mountain bikes and bikes alike, at the right time of year for anyone wanting a mountain bike and the ranges aren't bad, for someone who knows the different components and the quality of each. However buyer beware, you better be with someone who knows mountain bikes and the components, because this owner will sell you anything just to get a sale. For instance, you bring someone in who weighs 230lbs plus to see a bike, each bike has rider weight specs which include having the right spring rate. This weight requires around a 600 or better spring rate to prevent blowing out the rear shock or too much sag in your forks on jumps. This owner will sell you a bike with a 400 spring rate knowing this and if it is damaged you will incure the bill for repairs or replacement. My experience involved me educating the owner on what he already should have known about the different spring rates, having him promise he would get the right spring for the bike and having to keep reminding him to order it, meanwhile the $2700 mountain bike my buddy purchased still hasn't seen a trails, 3 weeks later still waiting, TRUE STORY. What do you think would have happened if I weren't with my buddy?
Customer Service: Shop owner is only hospitable while making sale and will tell you anything to get sale. Once you leave shop and have issues you will experience a different shop and attitude (his words, DON"T BOTHER HIM) It is in anyones best interest to know something about bike components and specs or go with someone who does know about the different components of Mountain Bikes especially or you will be back to replace it at a PRICE!!!! Other Comments: Customer service is key to people returning. Some Bike shops need to remember there are consumers out there that are very educated on the products they buy and can easily test to see if you are taking them for a fool. Just my opinion, but I know I am not the only one, If this industry is to survive, which I very much so want it to, we must respect each other and the money a person is investing into the product you are selling.
