Clarks Bicycles Shop

This shop is located in downtown Hickory, NC. They share a building with Clarks tire center and are underneath the auto shop, it can be hard to find.
The guys that work here are great! They are very helpful when it comes to selecting a bike. And if your in to freeride, downhill, or just some good mountain biking this is the shop to go to.

Shop Summary:
My wife and I have just begun to start riding again as a hobby with my grandchildren and younger daughter and her husband. The guys at Clarks have been such incredible help. I had 6 bicycles in my garage, none of which fit our needs. Through the intense trial and error and suggestions of the staff at Clarks we were able to find exactly the bicycles that fit both of us. As well as the accessories to meet the needs of the grandchildren. Three of the four adult riders now ride Giant bikes and love them. In my lifetime, I have bought nine bikes from Clark and they are the best of the best in my book.

Customer Service:
Excellent.

Shop Summary:
5 is not enough this shop is 11 out of 10. The inventory and models carried is awsome and the staff is even better. Mike is super nice, super helpful, and super knowledgeable - not only about bikes (far beyond most) but local trail systems and events.

Customer Service:
Amazing great guys are more than willing to help even with the smallest concerns.

Other Comments:
Go to Clarks and check them out!!!!!

Shop Summary:
Need a bike- check out Clarks- they will take the time to teach you if you never ridden, help you build your dream machine if your a veteran.

Need a bike fixed- none better.

Just want to ride- this shop wont just tell you- ask, they will go with you.

Cruiser, road, mountain, north shore, tricycle,I even saw a unicycle- they know it.

Customer Service:

Clarks is the shop. Mike and Tracy will take care of you. I drive a long way (4hrs round trip) to have them work on my stuff-only guys I trust. Not that their arent other good shops- but when you find one that works, why mess up a good thing? I wouldnt spend my money on gas just because they are good mechanics either. These guys are just plain good folks. Come in as a customer- leave as a friend.

Other Comments:
If every shop was this friendly and down to earth, there wouldnt be room on the trails.

Shop Summary:
This shop is located near downtown Hickory NC, in the basement of the tire shop. They have a really good selection of bikes of all kinds shapes sizes and prices. They have an indoor area large enough for a test ride if you would rather stay off the street which was really convenient for me and my wife. When I was a child my dad bought me and my brother bicycles there.

Customer Service:
The customer service is second to none. These guys (Mike, Tracy, and one other younger guy) are professionals in their field of work. I never once felt pressured to buy one bike over another. They were very helpful and I will always value their opinions and advice. Me and my wife bought the bikes that we really needed without paying too much for something that we didnt need. Oh yeah did I mention friendly service without attitude? I just can't say enough about these guys.

Other Comments:
When I was picking up our new bikes on Saturday, I was in a hurry to get back home to babysit for my wife so she could get her hair done. Mike swapped four rims with tires in record time so that i could make it home in time to take care of our 14 month baby.

Shop Summary:
Located in foothills of North Carolina this shop has been around for a long time. Most likely the oldest shop in town.
Recently expanded showroom resides beneath the Clark Tire and Auto tire/wheel showroom.
Complete line of cycling equipment and accessories from stationary to downhill.
Knowledgable staff with veteran experience.

Customer Service:
Customer service is second to none. Veteran mechanics will take care of you from start to finish wether you are building the ultimate bicycle of your choice, purchacing you or your childs first bicycle, have special needs, or just want to ask questions.
They have a vast knowledge of the old and new.
Both Tracy (has been there since I was a kid - I'm 34 now) and Mike wear a smile to work every day. Never have I walked in there and not been greeted by one of these two great guys.
Neither will try to "sell-up" they ask the right questions and provide you with the type, style, and/or size of equipment/accessories you need.

Other Comments:
This is the first "Bike Shop" I had ever been to as a kid and now I still go there. I had moved away from the area for a few years and frequented other shops as well as shopped online. Since I have returned to the area this is my first and only stop. Yeah, you might be able to get it a little cheaper online or somewhere else but no one stands behind their products and services like these guys.
They have the "Hometown Advantage" and treat every customer like they have been coming there for years. They meet no strangers.
Come by with a smile on - they will definitly have theirs on.
