Ken's Bike Shop

Average Rating:    (5 of 5)

Not the flashiest, but the best. 30 years in the game gets you the best wrench and fitting in town. Prices are great. Primarily a Trek dealer but also carry a few others and work on it all. Grassroots kind of place you will feel comfortable with.

Shop Summary:
This shop is a great bike shop not perfect (they have lots of customers) but will take care of you no matter who you are or what you need, any make or model bike, pro biker or beginner. Next you will get a honest answer if you will listen to their advice. I have bought 2 bikes from kens and will buy more.

Customer Service:
Service is good and if you buy from kens he stands behind his stuff and will make it right.

Other Comments:
Get a huge discount tell them Big Dave sent you.(They might double your price) but Thank you for reading my review, and say hi to ken, matt, charlie, bob and jake they all will take care of you?

Shop Summary:
Excellent shop! I am going to college at Wake Forest University, and they have always been one of the most professional shops in the area. I trust them with servicing my bike, and certainly feel that they are a class act.

Customer Service:
They are always busy when I call - which is a good thing! Nice people that are genuine to their customers, which must be why they are always so busy!

Other Comments:
Certainly go here if you want a great fit on your own bike or on your new Trek!

Shop Summary:
I failed to fully appreciate Kens when I lived in Yadkin County and needed a LBS that was competent in repairs, had a excellent pricepoint, and was really friendly. Its not flashy, but they are a very competent shop that has just about whatever you need when you need it. They never tried to sell me stuff I did not need.

Customer Service:
Ken is always there unlike some shop owners, and will go out of his way to find you what you want if he does not have it. I have purchased two new bikes from him, and we were always pleased.

Other Comments:
Winston-Salem is very lucky to have alot of great shops. I also frequented Paceline and Mock Orange, and both of those have friendly staff. The Mock Orange crowd is definitely geared more towards higher end boutique stuff.
Kens got most of my business since they were on the way to and from work. Since moving out west I have really been disillusioned by the shoddy work, service, and prices from the shops out here. Count yourself lucky that you have this level of bike shop acumen at your disposal.
