Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: Eugene's newest great bike shop. Eugene is blessed with a number of well established bike shops. Life Cycle comes into town and has created a dynamic unique setting. They have done this with the personal touch of the owners and staff. Gilad, and Justin, the co-owners are both great guys and bring a lot of energy. Then there is Geoff, who must have been born on a bike to have gained as much knowledge and expertise. Levi is the newest staff member and he also bring many years of experience and tech. They have been sponsoring the U of O team, and encouraging the next generation of bikers. This brings a vibrant and lively atomosphere with numerous young riders. They have professional bike racing experience that they openly share as they banter the days rides. If you want a personal touch from the a shop where the owners and staff have a true passion for bikes this is the place. Customer Service: Excellent, since it's a new shop they are not overstocked with parts and bikes. However they make every effort to get my bike out on the trail ASAP. They are always willing to sell the top end component, however they are quick to point out why the next level down is perfectly acceptable and quite offen significanly less expensive. They are doing a lot to allow new riders opportuniies to volunteer in the shop, and these folks are alway open and willing to help. Other Comments: I love this shop.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: I had never noticed this shop there before. It's a rather small shop with a small upstairs area that appeared to be road bikes. They could use some better signage out front because I drove by the first time around because I didn't see their sign on the front window as I drove by. Customer Service: I dealt with Gilad, the owner. He was very patient with me since I really wasn't sure what kind of bike I was looking for. He wasn't pushy to sell me a bike and get me out of there like some of the other shops I had gone to. I told him that I was on an extremely low budget since I hadn't ridden a bike for over 20 years and that there was no way I could afford a $1,500 bike. He stayed with me, answering questions, until I finally got it narrowed down to two different bikes, both Konas. I didn't buy that day and told him that I would probabaly be back the next day after I had done some research. After I had done so, I came back the next day and bought the one I wanted. I would definitely buy another bike from them. Other Comments: They seem to be very willing to make any adjustments you need in the first year that you have the bike for free. Gilad told me that if I'm out riding and hear the bike making any noise that I'm not used to to bring it in and they would look at it. So, very good service so far.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: This is a new shop (2007) located in South Eugene. They have road bikes (upstairs) and mountain, trials, and other bikes (downstairs).
They have a service department as well. Very few accessories, but growing.
Gilad offered a spot on a shop group ride and was just the nicest guy I have met in a bike shop. Customer Service: Excellent service!!!!!
One of the owners, Gilad Gozlan, does sales and he is a riot. High energy, and obviously crazy about bikes. He knows his stuff and is willing to talk bikes without any pressure or better than though attitude. He just wants to sell quality bikes at a fair price - real refreshing. I have yet to use their service and I have not purchased a bike, but this is the kind of shop that real bike fans want to support. I will be spending money here in the future. Other Comments: Stop by the shop, check out their gear and support your local LBS.
