Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels)
that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your
customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML
code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»

Shop Summary: First off, they need more freakin' options on the "what type of cyclist...you?" and "how often do you visit..." boxes. I've NEVER visited their store, but frequent their website weekly. Maybe even daily. For the record, I'm not a spandex wearin XC freak, a fat downhiller, or a lazy weekend warrior; certainly, no racer. I tear up the whole mountain any time I'm up for it (which is 3-5 times a week). Now that that is off my chest, let's talk about the web store. I have always been 100% satisfied with my purchases at UC. Never had an issue. True, they sometimes don't respond to my e-mails, but I won't freak on that. Their prices are competitive, but not the best out there. Their prompt price matching request feature is awesome. They're certainly one of the top 5 shops on my list.
Customer Service: Can't really comment on this one. I've never had to deal with them.
Other Comments: They have these monthly coupons that actually save me money! Most coupons some stores offer are just a sales gimmick. These guys are for real. I'm gonna buy a Totem from them soon, and I'll bet you my bottom dollar NO ONE will be able to price match UC...AND NO TAX! I rated their cust. serv. and tech. exp. a 3 because I've never dealt with that aspect of their services. I will contact MTBR about adding more options.

Shop Summary: Online shop appeared to have a good selection of parts, etc.
Customer Service: Very poor follow up!
I inquired about an item - similarly to another post, they advertized 2 day shipping for item, but then said 4-days. They tried to explain, but it was confusing enough and I needed the items sooner for a race. I told them to cancel the order and I'd call back if I couldn't get it local (sooner) then when they could deliver.
I did find items local and never finalized or placed the order.
The items were charged to me and shipped a bit under weeks later.
Whatever they did internally it was their mistake. I sent items back but had to pay for shipping. Not my mistake, should NOT be my expense.
Here's where it gets worse. One e-mail response discounted my concern and didn't even attempt to address the issue at all. Who would call that good customer service?

Shop Summary: I recently placed an order online, product said "Ships in 1-2 Business Days". It took 4 days to get my item in the mail. I sent 3 emails to them to ask for tracking information and never got a single response.
I sure hope this is the right product when I get it, but I purchased from Universal Cycles because their site said 1-2 days to ship (plus transit time obviously). I was extremely disappointed to have to wait the extra time, but would have been fine if I would have received a simple apology email.
Shop Summary: Any order online I go through Universal Cycles. By far the best customer service out there. Cheap prices to boot! I live in California it takes 2-3 days to ship here which makes it one of the best online shops around.
Customer Service: My order got misplaced once. They corrected their mistake and put it up on Over Night for the next day for all my trouble (free of charge)
Other Comments: They only ship Monday and Wednesdays, just keep that in mind when ordering.
