Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels)
that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your
customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML
code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»
Cyclepath
Not the typical approach to putting bikes on the road or on the trail but we aren't your typical shop. Most of what we do at cyclepath is custom.
With an extensive inventory of some of the finest parts available, a delicious selection of high-end frames and exceptionally well versed mechanics, we're ready to make your dream ride a reality. Offering frames from Moots, Titus, DeSalvo, Turner, Spot Brand, Niner, Scott, Salsa, Mountain Cycle, IRD, VanDessel, Soma, Surly and a host of others that make you feel like you're lost in a pet store.
Shop Summary: Until I learn otherwise, Cyclepath is the perfect bike shop. In fact, it's more than a bike shop -- it's a bike gathering place. In a city where biking approaches cult-like status, Cyclepath stands apart by offering affordable (and excellent) service, friendly staff, and a range of fabulous bikes, parts, gear. An embarrassing amount of my disposable (and non-disposable) income goes to Cyclepath and I couldn't be happier to provide it.
Customer Service: Also just about perfect. As much as I ride, I'm no bike mechanic and I can never seem to remember the names of the bike parts I need. These guys aren't snobs about it; they're respectful and try to match suggestions to your budget, interest, and style.

Shop Summary: this place is pretty refreshing, as a bike junkie i end up walking into all kinds of shops, seeing the same stuff. walking into this place, i was like, "whoa, whats that? where did that come from? i just saw that on cycling news this morning!" these guys are defenitely bike geeks, i get the feeling that they probably all live in garages with bikes at night
Customer Service: legendary, this is the kind of place i want to bring my car, my broken dishwasher, my lawnmower... but of course they dont work on that stuff. dealing with these guys has been incredible. at first i thought maybe i just got a little respect because i have a pretty high end turner but after spending many afternoons in therei realized its just the way these guys are. nothing like dealing with people who are happy to be doing what they do.
Other Comments: if this place were a bar, they'd have 50 microbrews on tap
Shop Summary: I found out about Cyclepath from this site. I haven't ridden a lot in about 8 years and haven't kept up with the times. But I wanted to start commuting to work on my old road bike. A bit wary about the "elitist" issue noted in another review, I went anyway and am very glad I did.
Yes, they tend to be a high end shop. VERY high end. Most of the bikes in stock are works of art. But they can cater to every price point. I had my bike completely overhauled and the cost of the parts that had to be replaced (new chain, cassette, bottom bracket, cables, housing, and pads) added less than $90 to the cost. So they definitely know what is price appropriate for the customer they are working for.
Customer Service: Excellent. After having my old road bike serviced, I expressed an interest in a cyclocross bike for winter commuting purposes. While it would have been great to pick up a nice Moots or Titus, they were aware I wasn't going to race and steered me so a great (and price appropriate) bike. Questions about bike technology that has developed in the last 8-10 years (even stupid questions) were answered without hesitation or impatience.
Test riding was a pleasure. Unlike some other shops which want to sequence your genome and hold your first born hostage before they let you out of the shop on a bike, Joshua just popped my old Time pedals on the bike, told me where some good roads were to test out the abilities of the bike, and said to come back when I was satisfied or wanted to try another bike.
Other Comments: This will be my shop in Portland. The only big downside to the place is that if you hang out in the shop long enough, you'll be sorely tempted to pick up a bike that costs more than your car.

Shop Summary: Great bunch of guys who really know there stuff and have the patience to answer all the questions you pose them, even by email. Not a big shop, but a good selection of mostly high end bikes and equipment. I highly recommend Cyclepath and will be sure to turn to Bill & co. for my next setup.
Customer Service: Great customer service, including by phone or email, if necessary. I had a few minor issues with my Titus Moto Lite, but they were quickly resolved. Great recommendation on a cyclocross bike, as they didn't hesitate to swap out parts for me without additional charge.
Other Comments: Highly recommended. Great shop.

Shop Summary: Edmonton Alberta is certainly not within walking distance to the shop, but I have dealing with Bill & Co. almost exclusively for my biking needs for
some time now. From picky high-end wheel builds to odd coloured anodised parts, they always come through.
Customer Service: The customer service is second to none. Even when there is barely enough time to answer the phone, care and patience is shown and good advice dispensed when I require it.
Other Comments: It is this kind of service that forges a bond of trust and loyalty with customers. The flashy or bulk on-line shops may offer a cheap price here and there, but they just can't match what the character and personal care that a shop like this has to offer.
