Shop Summary:
When you walk into Paul's, you know you're in Eugene. It has that vibe of friendliness and effortless authenticity that is Eugene's trademark. The shops all have a great selection of bikes from well-known suppliers, as well as all manner of accessories: lights, fenders, helmets, raingear, parts, mirrors, you name it.

Paul admitted to having been a Union organizer in his youth, and now as a business owner, he's walking his talk; the company compensates its employees with above average wages and profit sharing, as well as an annual bonus. Paul's also contributes to the community by donating employee hours to public events such as Earth Day and Bicycle Appreciation Day.

Customer Service:
Customer service at Paul's is outstanding. Employees are always super friendly and willing to help regardless of whether you're buying a $1000 bike or borrowing a wrench to tighten a loose bolt.

I'm no just saying this, here is the true story: one day I was riding with my friend when his brakes came loose (long story, old bike), we were near another bike shop in downtown, so I suggested we go there and ask for a screwdriver and a wrench to fix it. We went in, explained what we needed, offered to pay, and still the guy wouldn't do it. He kept insisting it needed a more thorough repair (which it certainly did, but we intended to do it back home, which we told him).

Long story short, we walked out, went to Paul's, asked for the tools, got "of course, here you go" for an answer (that plus a smile), fixed the bike, and had a lovely ride home.

Other Comments:
Paul's is top of the line in all regards. Go check it out - you won't be disappointed.

Shop Summary:
Great shops. I've purchased my last 3 bikes from Pauls and they really stand behind their stuff and me. I've walked in to a busy shop and the guys drop what they're doing to get me in and out and on the trails. They go the extra mile to figure out what's going on and fix the problem consistently, often times don't charge me because I'm a repeat long term customer. They helped me with trail info. early on and have kept me going since. Rod, the manager at the 6th street location is a superior mechanic and individual as are all the staff. The owner can be commended for this. Good inventory of bikes and supporting equipment and their prices are fair, on par with many net jobs.

Customer Service:
Great.

Other Comments:
Good stuff. I'd recommend them.

Shop Summary:
Paul's now has four locations in Eugene. I have shopped three: 5th Street, Alder, West 11th. 5th Street is by far the busiest and has the largest selection. Sales help here was marginal and I had to seek out staff person for some help. West 11th and Alder were a different story. Small staff but much more interested in finding out what I was interested in. Both stores have limited selections but will contact other stores to see if they stock what you need

Customer Service:
Of the 3 stores visited, Alder Street and West 11th were most helpful. I am a noob looking at getting into the sport and was interested in a 29r after reading about them here. Pauls is the GF dealer in the Eugene area and I was looking at the Cobia. Both the guyz I talked to at W.11th and Alder St. were helpful in answering my noob questions and getting me a test ride on a 17.5 and a 19. No pressure and good vibes!

Shop Summary:
This shop is not knowledgable on bike fitting. If you want to get a good deal and know exactly what you want and fall into the average size rider they will deal with you and you can get a great price. But you better know exactly what you want and not need any expert advice from them. They are there for the sale and will make it. Whether the bike fits you or not, they will tell you it's okay. If you are an expert and looking for a great deal this could be the shop for you but otherwise, steer clear.

I will admit I only dealt with one sales person. It may be that other associates are more knowledgable.

Customer Service:
They are nice and helpful but not knowledgable. After I took my bike in for its first tune up, I had to tighten the rear hub myself. It was so loose that my tire was rubbing on the breaks and wobbling around. Otherwise all bike work has been okay but this surprised me. I have experienced 2-3 day turn around but never next day service. I don't think this is unreasonable just different from other reviews.

Shop Summary:
GReat shop, I bought a Blur last year, no waiting and fair price. And this year I bought a GF Rig. They ordered the bike and had it there in a day. Staff are great!

Customer Service:
I have needed service and modifications on the bikes above and often gotten same day service. I have returned products and they have stood by them with refunds. It would be hard for another bike shop to get any of my business in the future. They have created a loyal customer by being fair and reasonable in the prices and service. Thanks to all of you that work at Paul's.
