Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels)
that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your
customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML
code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»
Webcyclery.com
29ers, Singlespeed, Cyclocross, and Trials bikes are what Webcyclery is famous for.
Webcyclery is a bike shop in Bend, Oregon that also serves as the home base for Webcyclery.com, an internet storefront. Walk into the store and you'll immediately see that they've made the most out of the space they have to work with. Frames from Ellsworth, Surly, On-One, Salsa, Redline, BMC, Niner and Spot line the walls from floor to ceiling. Shelves in the back of the store are piled with more Singlespeed and 29er frames - as well as boxes of trials frames from Echo, GU, Adamant, Zoo and Czar. On any day Webcyclery has over 80 new frames in stock and ready to be built up with any exotic or otherwise hard to find parts you could wish for.
Their local following is impressive, but it's their on-line fame that keeps the phone calls and emails coming all day long. Nobody, and I mean nobody, has the Singlespeed, Cyclocross, and Trials bike knowledge that the Gorman Brothers have in their combined noggins. Both the virtual store and the storefront are owned and run by Kevin Gorman. (Where else can you come in or call and get to talk to the owner, every day?)
Kevin runs the bike shop. His brother, MeanTodd, answers fifty emails a day between filling orders for custom wheels via Webcyclery Wheel Works (custom wheels built on a daily basis by MeanTodd). Their Dad, Double Clutchin' Dickie G, handles most of the shipping duties and color commentary. Mark is the head mechanic, star cyclocross racer, and seducer of all things female. When Dave isn't working the floor he lives up to his billing of "pretty smart nordic ski dude" during Bend's long ski season. Henry spends his days in the loft and does his very best to keep Webcyclery.com and Webskis.com updated.
The Webcyclery crew is known for their totally outrageous sense of humor. Visitors to Webcyclery.com can view the archives of Halloween costumes, practical jokes, and bad haircuts that guarantee that the Gorman's never have a dull week at the shop.
Come winter, Webcyclery plays host to Webskis.com and the bikes start sharing floorspace with nordic skis. Webskis carries Fischer, Madshus, Salomon, Rottefella, One-Way and Alpina - and Webskis.com is the exclusive US distributor for SOLDA Ski Wax and ProSkis Roller Skis.
Ask Kevin Gorman what makes Webcyclery so special and you'll usually get the same answer... "We're fun!"
Or funny lookin!
Webcyclery.com is open for your entertainment 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
Shop Summary: Very High-end stuff. They don't do entry-level at all, from the look of things. They carry Ellsworth and Bianchi, Salsa, Surly, Niner. Everybody there rides, and they have one of the largest cycling clubs in the area.
Customer Service: Genuinely nice guys and they actually know what the hell they're talking about. Everybody there rides, too, so they have some real experience with the stuff they're selling. The downfall is that they sometimes get overrun, and it can be hard to get help.
Other Comments: Great Shop. Great bikes. Great people. I just can't get comfortable in the place, so I'll stick with my usual shop when I'm in town.

Shop Summary: Easily one of the best shops in town, if not THE best. Extremely knowledgeable staff. And they know how to build wheels...what a concept!
Customer Service: Excellent. Never heard them talk down to a customer yet, or sell someone something they didn't want.

Shop Summary: Just had a '09 Intense Tracer VP built by Web. Before going into Web for the first time, I visited all of the other notable shops in the area to determine skill-set, vibe, etc. In short, Web was the best fit with great customer service, knowledge and wrench-work. Ed did a great job on the build. They had the 1.5" tools needed. Kevin, Todd, Jeff and Mike are cool cats. The shop as a whole is just solid. Highly recommended. dk.
