Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels)
that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your
customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML
code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»
Ride-This
We at Ride-this are a rider owned company. We ride our bikes as much as we can. You will probably see us at local races or riding spots, or doing some street sessions in downtown Portland. We ride what we sell, granted we don't ride everything we sell but we know someone who rides almost everything that we carry. We support small rider owned companies because frankly they produce the stuff the big companies will be making 2 years from now! The small rider owned companies are on the cutting edge and can react to the changing tastes of riders quickly and they usually produce the stuff, which only people who ride all the time truly need!
Nothing against the big companies we sell a lot of that stuff and they do make great parts and accessories, but the small guy is what this lifestyle and industry is all about. The more we keep these little guys in business the better your riding experience and the better the bike will be!

Shop Summary: Bike shop / Online store with good selection of bikes and parts
Customer Service: Ordered my items using Ride-This website, after waiting 2 weeks for the items to arrive, shipped from Oregon to California via UPS Ground which should take 2 business days, no shipment arrived. Finally I contacted Ride-This multiple times, but after I called 20-25 times, left a message 3 times, no one answered the phone or responded to my messages. "answering machine stated" Sorry for the inconvenience, we are in the process of re-locating our warehouse? really, after 2-3 months they are still in the process of moving. Well if they move as slow as they ship, then they'll never finish moving. After being frustrated for couple of days someone finally answered the phone. Again I customer service made the excuse that they were in a process of moving. I received the item within 3 days after the call.
Other Comments: You know if companies lies to customers, then they shouldnt get our business.

Shop Summary: A+ i have been going to ride this for a few years now and i am supprised to be reading some of its reviews. i have ordered tons of parts from them. soemtimes they are hard to get and some time its the next day or right there as i walk into the shop. lets face it, not all parts are made or instock at the time you and i want them. they even take care of my girlfriend when she goes and supprises me with a new part. one time they fed her pizza wile they were making sure she didnt come home with a stupid part i would have to pretend to put on my bike.( a sram pc991 hollow pin) still riding and love. the guys know what they are talking about and would rather send you home thinking about what you really want and need then to sell you a part you will be replacing in a week or just dont need.
Customer Service: A++ again customer service is very good. i have ordered just about evey way you can from them. phone, instore, web, web with local pickup option, shiped suff to my dad, you name it. and again some times slow sometime next day. more often then not about 3-4 days. how can people ask for better than that? i have shoped with just about every local shop in a 50 miles radius and all the big name web stores. most give you the same story. i go to ride this because the people there actually care about what they do and admit when they make a mistake and have always fixed it in my favor with a smile.
Other Comments: not to give an excues to the poor coments they have on mtbr, but come people give them a brake. GIVE ALLL THE SHOPS A BRAKE!!! i have watched this shop grow over the years and even in hardtimes times like this they are growing. so some of you have had a hard time with ride this, but havent you also had a hard time or ten at universalcycles.com? or local bike shop fat tire farm? and dont get me started about Ebikestop.com why do people have to wine so much about life? cant we just all be happy we still have money to buy bike parts and gas to get to the trail? so many of my friends in the cycling community have lost there jobs and shops are going out of left and right. why do we have to help the rest of they shop die by posting bad comments for paranoied web people to read. i will always shop at ride this as long as i have the money to be shopping for bike parts. they have big plans with there new shop they are building and the bike park at the shop is starting to get new jumps every weekend. when employment goes back up and people have money again, this shop will be on the top.

Shop Summary: Decided to order online for these guys because they were the cheapest and one of the only retailers i could find that carry the DT Swiss E2200 Front wheel with 5mm QR..
Customer Service: Placed my order on 10/18, been in contact with TIM at ride this...
Ride-This.com claimed the item was in stock.. but of course they dont have the item in stock. Tim Promised me several times that i would be shipped within a day. and everytime i asked why it wasnt shipped another excuse and that i would be shipped the next day..
Finally on 10/30 i gave up and told Tim to cancel my order and refund my money.. at first i was ignored but after sending several messages and trying to call and Tim Sends me This:
"I tried to make all of my promises come true, but money is tighter than previously thought. If you want a reason, all I can offer is that we are struggling the way that all other bike shops I know have been struggling.
You will receive your money as soon as I can afford to give it to you."
AS SOON AS YOU CAN AFFORD IT? WHAT!? you charged me and now you dont have my money? and you havent even ordered the Wheel after almost 2 Weeks?
Basically i have called my Credit Card Company to help me get my money back..
AVOID AVOID AVOID.. I have a feeling that some of the reviews on here are posted but Those over at Ride-This.com, and i begin to wonder if it is a real shop..
Other Comments: Avoid these guys. i cant speak for the actual shop (walking into it...) that is if their actually is a shop.
But ONLINE AVOID THEM!! do yourself a favor.. im still trying to get my money back from the fools..

Shop Summary: This shop is horrible! Avoid it at all cost. I ordered from them in Aug. 17 and I haven't gotten my order yet. I called them a week after I haven't received my order. They never pick up their phone and when I got someone on the phone he said that my order was shipped on Aug. 21 and that I should get it within in a couple of days. He said that they're moving so they're really busy. He told me that he would e-mail me the tracking number within an hour but I never got it. I don't really care if I get my order since I already called my credit card company.
Shop Summary: Ride-this has been my go to online shop. With their amazing range of products and their vast knowledge of all aspects of cycling, I am more than happy to spend my money their.
I have ordered from ride-this multiple times both when they were in their old location and in the new. There were a few hiccups during the transition but that happens with every single company and after an email and a prompt response, we were good to go.
Even if they don't carry a certain product that you are looking for you can get ahold of them and see if they can get it for you and include it with the rest of you parts.
Fast shipping, good customer service, the owner and his staff is top notch and they are a very reputable company to deal with.
Customer Service: Customer service was pretty good and on par with every other online shop site. Ride-this has been much better with customer service then with my recent dealings with jensonusa.
You can actually speak to a customer service representative and they will return your emails very quickly.
don't hesitate to call them or email before you order to make sure that the product is in their actual stock and if there is anything else.
Other Comments: Sit down and thoroughly read the negative reviews of the company and see what they are really saying and when this happened. They all happened during a complete moving period when phone and internet was being moved. Sure this is not an excuse and something should have been stated on the website but they are completely moved in an ready to help you with your order.
As for not having the product that they say is in stock. For most online shops to include jensonusa, They have a vast array of stock in shop but they have to order some product that is ordered less often from the actual company. That gets shipped to the online company then gets shipped to the buyer, or drop shipping is an option.
Most if not all online sites do this as well as your local LBS. Do you really expect an online company to stock every single product in a warehouse waiting for you to buy and then lose money if it doesn't sell? You have to be out of your mind and disconnected to the way that businesses work to not no this.
Have faith in ride-this.com and don't be scared to send them an email or give them a call if you have any questions or problems.
