Shop Summary:
Cedar Bike has 2 locations, Dickson City & Scranton PA. Have a large selection and will order any bike they do not have in stock.

Customer Service:
Customer Service is HORRIBLE. I wanted a Redline Monocog Flight, price was $800. When I went to order it, the price jumped up to $1000. I then went for the Monocog 29er. Even with that, they could not make up there mind on a price until they settled on $600 + tax. Being a newbie and after shopping around I believed this to be a good price. I wanted to help support the LBS as I had planned on buying ALL my biking needs there as its only a block away. They charge Retail price for ALL bikes. If retail is $650, they charge $650 !!! I did see the same bike on the net for $160 cheaper, but I figured with shipping ranging up to $85, I figured I would rather give my business to the LBS. They never sized me for the bike, stating that if it was too tall, just lower the seat !!! I went back looking for a helmet the next week and when I asked where the helmets are, they simply pointed to the corner. They did have alot, but with not knowing what I need, I needed help. When I asked that I wanted something that had a longer back, they then pointed to helmets for skateboarding. Also stated when I asked about single speeds, stated they are a fad and to not waste my time.

Other Comments:
I worked 11 years for a small business and if I treated my customers like this, even remotely, I would have been fired. I have NO IDEA how they have been in business 35 years. Maybe they treat their regulars better, but with this kind of ( your bothering me ) mentality in their shop, I will never become a regular and will NEVER spend another cent there. If I could rate them Lower I would. Money is hard to come buy these days and I want to spend it in a shop where they offer good customer service and actually care that I took the time to come into their shop to SHOP and BUY items.
