Shop Summary:
Where to start. This is without a doubt the most incompetent staff I have ever encountered at an LBS. I think, no I am certain, the bike staff at Wal-Mart would do better than these guys.

I brought my bike in to have rotors upgraded from 6" to 7". I supplied all the parts. 2 rotors, 2 sets of pads, 2 adapters, and all neccessary hardware. Long story short, the mechanic, Dennis, put my rear adapter on backwards. Since the cailper was not clearing the rotor properly he felt different parts were going to need to be ordered. Another guy, Tom, identified the problem after some careful examination. But at first, until I challenged him, he was taking Dennis' stance that I had incompatible parts and that I needed to order 8" adapters to fit 7" rotors.

The next sequence of events would have been comical if they were jerking around with my ride. Don't have space to fully document here what took place.

Customer Service:
Well I will say they were friendly enough. They were not rude in any way. What they are is completely lacking in knowledge of bikes. In fact while I was there a salesman had to ask someone else there if Shimano LX Deore pedals were for MTB or road applications. I mean come on!

They wanted to order unneccesary parts for me. Said my upgrades were the cause of my problems, even though all my parts are specific for BB7 applications.

Other Comments:
I never write bad reviews of places. It seems vindictive and bitter. I normally respond to poor service by keeping my thoughts to myself and never allowing them the opportunity to earn my money. But this was so bad, so extreme, that I felt I had to do my part to inform the Upstate SC cycling community of my experience.

Needless to say, I will not be going back there.

Shop Summary:
The Shop has a good selection of products to fit a wide variety of people and riding styles. It is easy to look around in.

Customer Service:
The up front customer services is good and caring but the behind the counter service sucks. They do not do a good job repairing my mountain bikes. They also do not call back to let me know when my bike is done. For the last 3 times that I have taken my bike in to have it serviced, I had to fix their mistakes later myself, at home for 2 of them and for the 3rd one I had to take it to another bike shop. I think the problem lies in one guy and one guy only. I did not have any problems with them until they hired this new guy who looks like a bum. He sports greesy long hair and wear stupid croc shoes and talks down to people. This one time I saw him trying to put air into someones bike and he was telling them the bike had a leak but the whole time he didn't have the pump on correctly. I don't know if he was trying to pull a fast one on this customer or if he is just that big of an idiot, but regardless you do not want this guy working on bike. The road bike mechanics seem to do a much better job.

Other Comments:
I was going to get a new fuel ex8 from them but after this last time taking my bike in, I will not. I can not trust them to take care of my bike and me. This is only becuase of 1 guy and only at the Spartanburg location. I do have to say that I like the owner and most eveyone else there.

The people are what makes this place shine. Always helpful, good advice, technical advice always a plus.

Other Comments:
