Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels)
that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your
customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML
code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»
Outspokin Bicycles
Brian Curran, who managed Outspokin' for fifteen years, purchased the store in 1998. He attributes Outspokin's success to its staff members' passion for cycling. "We've got one of the most diverse staffs that I've seen in the cycling industry. It's a requirement that our employees ride regularly, but what's different about Outspokin' is that we've got people on staff that range from category 1 road racer to a couple of guys who just want to enjoy the trails occasionally. It's this kind of diversity that makes shopping here easy. We've got people who can talk technical issues about bikes, and then we've got people who can talk to someone who has never ridden a bike before," Curran said. Outspokin' is excited to be celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2008!

Shop Summary: This shop is great. I have into road cycling for a while, but recently added mountain biking to my list of interests. I was nervous about going into the shop without knowing much about the tech of mountain biking. The guys at the shop were awesome. They walked me through everything that I needed to get started. They were honest and not pushy about sales. They were flexible with me on price so I didn't feel like I was being taken like you do at a car dealership. Because I bought my new Rockhopper Comp Disc at Outspokin' they will do free tune-ups for the life on the bike.
Customer Service: The mechanics and sales people were very knowledgeable and friendly. The owner, Brian, even came out to talk with me and he ordered the bike for me. It is great to see the shop owner take pride in his shop and participate in assisting customers.
Other Comments: I just happened to walk into the shop when they were having a big weekend party. The had an obstacle course setup outside and even gave me a FREE BEER while I was shopping around and talking with the sales people. You can't beat that with a stick!
