Dick's Sporting Goods

The sell mostly Diamondback bikes,( which is a Raleigh bike) , they have got the best prices on any level of bike. There mechanic, David, is very good and knows everything you could possiable want to know about a bicycle. You need to talk to him though because he is the man. He told me that he has worked in several bike shops over the years and use to build wheels at the Litespeed factory. His 10 years of professional experience really shows, and if you talk to him you will see what I am talking about. I am very happy with my Diamondback response comp that I paid $550 for. I was going to buy another bike that was part for part the same thing for $900 from another local shop. I saved $300 and got 3 years of service for less. They have got this awesome warranty for $50 which includes 2 tune ups a year plus parts and labor for 3 years. If you want to get into mountainbiking, or need a new one, go there and talk to David, before you drop more dough on other brandnames of the same componet level and quality. Check it out, I am very glad that I stopped in and got that level of service from Dicks, I am very happy with Dick's Sporting Goods.

Shop Summary:
We carry the full line of Diamondback bicycles, even the Sorties and Missions. Great prices and a good selection.

Customer Service:
Better than one may come to expect from a big store like this. Call ahead of time and ask for me, David, if you want the low down on the Sorites and Mission. I do own both a Mission and the limited Sortie Black! Love them both.

Other Comments:
Well, I am the head mechanic here. Don't want to write a whole story and what not, but come by and check us out. I hope your pleasently surprised by what we can offer you.

Shop Summary:
Nice big clean shop with a climbing wall. Kennesaw Georgia Location

Customer Service:
Restrain my anger, A hanger they didn't have in the store took 3 weeks to order and i'm still waiting today. Talked to the manager and the only tech the store has. The tech doesn't care that I can't ride my bike and doesn't try to speed up the order. The manager doesn't know anything about bikes and gives me the run around to prevent me from calling the general manager. I asked if they would take the part off a bike in the store and the tech claimed not to have one. Not true I was there 2 days ago(asking about my bike) and they had 2 Iron horse Warriors on the floor and 6 IH Mavericks on the floor. I believe the the Maverick uses the same hanger. September weekend riding in great weather passes me by as I wait.

Shop Summary:
I wanted to get into the sport of mountain biking so, I visited all the local bike shops in Chattanooga, TN. I found the best bike for me was the Diamondback Response Comp. at Dick's Sporting Goods. The local bike shops had more expensive bikes with lower grade components (never could figure that out). The other reason I bought from Dick's Sporting Goods was the Bike Technician(Dave). Dave is VERY knowledgable about Diamondback products, mountian biking, the local mountain biking scene in Chattanooga and not to mention one heck of a technician. Also, it's a no-brainer to purchase the Service Plan for $50...I highly encourage it! I'm very happy with my Diamondback and the personal customer service from Dave!

Customer Service:
At the Chesterfield store there is a Bike Mechanic there by the name of Owen (guy with beard). He is very helpful and very knowledgeable. He was able to fix my Mongoose and stop an annoying squeaking that has been driving me nuts since the day I got it. I normally wouldn't get my bike fixed at a dept store but one day I was talking to him about my problem as I was looking for a new camelbak and he had an idea. I brought the bike in and he was able to clean and properly tourq the bolts and now no squeak!
