Shop Summary:
This is a great all around outdoor shop. I started dropping in for fly fishing gear, but now I can't walk through a single part of the store without finding something I "need". If you get outside, this is the place to get the stuff.

Customer Service:
Absolutely excellent customer service. They patiently answer any and all questions. When I was looking for a new hardtail, they literally told me where the other shops where in town to go test other brands because they were much more concerned with me being happy than being their customer.

No snobbery from the staff, just encouragement to get out and ride. They take pride in how well they build the bikes they sell; they really want you to be happy with what comes out of the shop.

Other Comments:
Pretty decent selection of bikes/accessories/clothing. Nice staff. Cool other stuff (fly fishing, hiking, kayaking). Worth the visit.

Shop Summary:
I was pretty hesitant to go to Cumberland Transit. It's in a fairly wealthy part of town, i had heard they were a little more expensive, and the very first time i went in awhile back, one employee was particularly rude (he scoffed at the idea of not buying the top of the line model). But, they were the only ones in town who had a bike in the size i wanted to try, so i had to go. From the moment i walked in the door, everyone was nice, knowledgeable, and incredibly low-pressure on buying the bike. I spent 30 minutes alone talking to one guy about everything from the time his wife bought a bike from walmart and the fork fell out, to which handlebar grips would be suitable for a bike i wasn't even buying. Another guy even showed me on the spot how to adjust the disc brakes, what tools i would need, etc. They seemed to have nothing to do, but talk about bikes.

Customer Service:
Incredibly helpful, low-pressure, and just plain friendly.

I will however give them a 4 on the rating, because somewhere in that shop there is at least one very rude employee who apparently thinks that everyone who comes in needs to buy the best bike they have.

Other Comments:
Go there and at least try them out. For maintenance or a new bike. Some of the other shops just won't give you the same amount of attention.
