Shop Summary:
I recently moved to eastern Tennessee from Florida. Since spear fishing would probably be frowned upon here I decided to rekindle an old hobby of mine and take up mountain biking again. Since I haven't been active in the sport since my military days I went to Piney Flats Bicycles with zero knowledge of the new bikes and equipment. WOW has the sport evolved over the past 20 years! Brian took the time to go over every aspect of the sport, he explained the differences in bikes and the fact that all the shop employees are avid riders he was able to give me some insight on what type of riding I could expect here. I told him what my budget was and he built me an awesome bike. They also organize group rides twice a week and are very active in the local community. I will be a customer for the entire time I live here.

Shop Summary:
My first experience several years ago was good but like another review says, it has gone downhill. They have lost business from me several times because they do not answer their phone or return calls. I now pass this shop up on my way to the best shop NE TN has to offer.

Customer Service:
Employees seem arrogant. I was there looking for a cheap headset for a beater bike and all they wanted to sell me was a Chris King.

I would love to know the name of the shop you go to now.

Shop Summary:
When this shop first opened it was awesome. BIG very nice and very welcomed! Over the years the service has gone down hill. Very cocky arrogant associates work there. Have the "I know it all" attitude. Have talked to several people that say they wont go back. Shop nearly as nice and well stocked as it once used to be. Rumors going around all last year that they were selling out. Theres a couple of guys there that are very nice, not to knowledgable though. I would not reccomend this shop if your an average or beginner rider though. Dont ever order anything either, you might get it in 2-3 months. Thats if they remember to order it or get a big enough order to afford to place it. Sorry truth hurts

Customer Service:
OK nothing spectacular

Other Comments:
Not sure if any of the mechanics are certified or not. Theres at least one thats not

I recently bought a Crankset there and just now found out that I could have gotten it for $20 cheaper @ Cambria Bike. I'm gonna try to take it back. We'll see how that goes. Wish me luck.

shop was bought by one of the employees. only time will tell if they turn it around or not. they are more involved with the loical racing scene now though.
Drakken_11 (12/22/2009)
They were nice to me. I just feel a little cheated right now. Hope they can make it right.
pedal955 (12/24/2009)
you probably won't get your money back but a credit
pedal955 (12/31/2009)
how did it go??
Drakken_11 (01/02/2010)
They completely understood.
I got a store credit. Which is what I wanted. I still need cables put on my bike.
pedal955 (01/02/2010)
they never give money back, that really sucks
Drakken_11 (01/02/2010)
Yeah that does suck. But you can always find something else for your bike. *tires*
