Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: The shop is small but very clean and neat inside. I have been there a hand full of times to get fit and purchase some miscellaneous stuff.
The female manager there is very kind and knowledgeable (mostly roadie though).
Negative- I was charged for the install of a rear deraileur that I paid full price for there in the shop. My old LBS, BikeTown in Abilene, TX never charged labor for the install of anything that was ordered or purchased through their shop. Customer Service: -Very good customer service (not great).
-They greet you as soon as you walk in. I once had them tinker with a crank that I had problems fiting. Well initially they couldn't get it on either but did not charge me for the effort.
-They offer 10% military discount on accessories Other Comments: The lead wrench was a nice guy but isn't straight forward. Just 2 weeks ago we actually had a discussion on how he could now match any SRAM product to any online retailer. He even went on to mention Pricepoint and how he saved customers money for going through them instead. Well, this morning I asked him if they could pricematch online and he says "no not online but I can pricematch local only". Wow! Unfortunately it was an emergency and had a race in 48hrs, so I had to pay 95% more than what I could get it for online! On top of that I was charged for the labor. I'm sorry but even though the people there are nice I refuse to pay 95% markup for niceness. I will not support this LBS any longer.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: I think the location information may be wrong due to the shops relocation. They are now at 2838 1604 Loop, San Antonio, Texas 78232.
Moved here in June '10 and was looking for a local bike shop that may be as good as back home. Bought some tires from them, nothing big, since they were close. Needed to get some spokes replaced and wheel trued. The reviews on here convinced me to give them a shot. I'm very picky about how I want it done which I found out is their normal way of doing it. Not only was the repair excellent, but it was cheaper than I'd ever seen. At the same time I had a missing part on my bike pump but would rather buy a new one than put too much money into a repair. They found the part, ordered and fixed it for free! I'm very happy that I found this place, will be a repeat customer and spreading the word. Customer Service: Excellent! Other Comments: Only negative was a dog they kept at the shop that jumped and licked anyone who came through the door. Really a nuisance with my kids who are 3,5 and 6 years in age and couldn't really defend themselves from getting pounced. It wasn't there when the wheel was picked up so it may have been a chance thing.

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: So far this has been the best bike shop in town. If they don't have it, they will order it for you. I saved half the price on my Carbon Pro SL Enduro last month and was worth every penny. These guy have the fairest prices in San Antonio. They carry pretty much everything you need for either mountain or road biking. Customer Service: Customer service is SUPERB. You are always welcomed and treated respectfully, not like other bike stores in town. These guys are very knowledgeable and will try to get you what you need or service your bike as soon as they can. Reuben is the owner of the Ride Away and I have had the pleasure of conducting business with. I hope his stores stay in business for as long as I am riding. Other Comments: If you are interested in buying a bike for your first time please visit any of the three stores. They will help you find a bike that fits your needs and will not price gouge you like Planet Bike.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: The shop guys really know there business and are always willing to answer any questions. They provide excellent service and get your bike back to you asap. Customer Service: EXCELLENT! I bought my Bianchi from these guys about a year ago and got a really great deal. I was considering buying a more expensive Specialized Tarmac but one of the sales guys told me to try out some of the other bikes (like my Bianchi) in the shop to get a feel for them. After riding the Bianchi, I new that I had found my new road bike. He was totally cool and did not try to push the more expensive bike. His main concern was making sure that I was going to be happy on my new ride. Other Comments: In my opinion, this is the best LBS in San Antonio. I been to and purchased bikes from other LBSs and Ride-A-Way is in a league of their own.

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: These guys are super knowledgable, and actually take the time to listen to your needs. Service dept. knows whats up and gets the job done without delay (great turnaround time). Also, they have a killer new shop out on Redland Rd. and Loop 1604. I would highly recommend this shop if you are looking for a new local bike store to frequent.
