Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: The new Hammerhead shop on Burnet Lane is awesome! Where else in Austin do you get to talk to the mechanic AND watch him work on your bike? And while your waiting you get offered something to drink, or ride the pump track with a demo bike. They built a pump track. Everywhere else in Austin you get to ride a demo bike in the parking lot. At HH, you get a dirt pump track (or a nice quiet side street if you are riding a road bike) and then you get offered to demo the bike you just rode at no extra charge, for the weekend. The HH guys have won my business. Customer Service: First rate. Get something to drink, hang out on the couch, or come back. I have never been told by a bike shop in Austin (or anywhere) that the repairs on my bike will just take a few minutes, or better yet, when I destroyed my rear hub: "Here's a demo wheel, try it out." A DEMO WHEEL? Really? I didn't know customer service at a bike shop existed before I went to HH. Other Comments: Thanks Hammerhead, you have added to my excitment about cycling, not taken me for a ride.

Racer Shop Summary: Not being particularly well versed on the ins and outs of bikes and parts, I wanted to take the next step and purchase a high end mountain bike. A friend of mine purchased his Titus there about 4 years ago, and that is what I wanted! It can be very intimidating going into a bike shop and talking with folks who have been riding for years, actually they can be downright pretentious. Absolutely not the case with the guys at the shop. From the time I walked in, I felt very comfortable to ask questions and talk specifically about what I was looking for. Cody and Josh were extremely patient and helpful in every way. This experience is what buying a bike should feel like! Customer Service: The customer service at Hammerhead is above reproach. Even with Cody just having a new baby that week, he met me at the shop on a Saturday (they are only open M-F) to deliver my new Titus. Talk about taking care of the customer! Other Comments: Hammerhead bikes is the place to go for the “bike experience”. If the shop was closer to San Antonio, I would definitely go there on a regular basis even if it was to jsut hang out with the guys. The shop is fun and they make the atmosphere very comfortable!!

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: Small, high end shop, catering to the serious cyclist as well as people just getting into the sport. Cody, Josh and the rest of the staff are a pleasure to deal with and are truly interested in helping each rider figure what they need in a bike or equipment. They are riders themselves and that translates well to the customers. Customer Service: They have alays bent over backwards to get me back on the trail as soon as possible. Many times they have taken my walk in problems and had them fixed in a just a short time and gotten me back on the trail. Other Comments: The shop has a great ambiance, not only do these guys know thier bikes, they are fun to hang out with and are always entertaining! They take care of every person that walks through the door. They will not force thier opinions, but rather give you all the information you need to make an informed decision on your own. This is the best bike shop i have every dealt with.

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: Great service, great people, what you always hoped to see in a shop. Customer Service: Outstanding. It is hard for me to get up there so they have done repairs while I waited instead of having me come back to get the bike. Other Comments: I bought a Hammerhead 100X back a few years ago. Great bike, but it wasn the folks at the shop as much as the bike itself that sold me.
Now with the new owners they are just as customer-centric if not more.
Went in to get wheels rebuilt and they told me "save your money, just have them trued." Honesty pays off, my next set of wheels will come from HH.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: What a great shop. Selling high end custom bikes. Super family oriented. Cody is absolutely fantastic. Offers free demo's and shares a wealth of knowledge with his customers. Customer Service: Amazing customer service. Probably won't find better service anywhere. Great people, great service. Other Comments: I can't say enough good things about hammerhead and Cody. It's a great LBS and Austin is lucky to have it.
