Racer Customer Service: The WORST customer service ever! I have never experienced being talked down to by a salesman but Chris Holmes an emloyee did just that. He asked me the weirdest questions when trying to explain his point about getting my money back on a race I purchased and would not give me my money back and would not do anything at all to help me. I thought being in the retail business you were supposed to do just that but not at Bicycle World and Fitness. He also yelled at me on the phone and belittled me and after him and I got into a heated argument he hung up on me. So again to sum it up, worst customer service, yelled at customer, would not return money on a race I purchased and belittling customers. And after reading all the reviews for this shop I see that I am not the only one who feels the same way. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. If you want good service in the houston area go to bike lane in the Woodlands, TX.

Cross Country Rider Customer Service: This bike shop provided the worst service when working them on a bike shipment. The staff are really good people, I think the Management is terrible. I would not recommend dealing with them on any level - you will not feel as though you have been taken care of properly.

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: I have been to this shop a couple times, and each has been the same experience. For a shop which claims to pride itself on caring for the customer and wanting to be a part of the cycling community they fall short. During each visit I personally witnessed the owner yelling and talking down to an employee even though many customers were milling around. Prices are some of the highest in town. Customer Service: General snooty holier-than-thou attitude pervails. They try to make you feel small, and if you are not a rich yuppie oil industry employee with tons of disposable income you are not welcome. Other Comments: Inflated ego's and inflated prices. RUN dont walk from this place.

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: To expound upon what one of the other reviewers said, the shop lists the bikes at or above MSRP, which anyone in any retail business will tell you, is complete tripe. They do it to give you the impression that they are giving you a good deal. Once you actually pay for the item and find it at other shops around town, you realize you got hosed. Also, the guy who owns the shops is as dishonest as they come and seems to treat his employees worse than animals. I don't know that for sure, but the way he talks to them, even when customers are nearby, is pretty shocking. Maybe I just caught him on a bad day, but I doubt it.
There are much better bike shops in town, though I won't name them. Hell, even some of the bigger chain stores are better than this shop. My advice, let your money speak for you and spend it somewhere other than Bicycle World and Fitness. Customer Service: Most of the guys in the shop are pretty good, friendly enough and knowledgeable. Justin is my favorite guy at all of the shops. Unfortunately, the big guy with glasses (owner) is completely dishonest and will tell you anything just to sell you a bike. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him, and that wouldn't be very far, let me tell you. Other Comments: I really don't like giving bad reviews to shops, bikes, etc. Most everything we feel is just our personal perception, but this shop and the owner really deserve the negative review.
