Shop Summary:
Bikesport is a full service, top notch shop who’s focus is providing outstanding customer service and delivering quality products. They sell road, mountain, cross, tri bikes and gear. It’s a cool shop that’s well organized with a creative layout and a fun environment. Because I was first introduced to Bikesport as a very casual, infrequent rider and have since evolved into a cross country and endurance rider/ racer, my comments reflect a true range of needs and expectations. Initially, I didn’t even know what kind of bike to buy or how it should fit so the sales staff (ask for Fil, Mickey,Jay or Jeff; Jeff is the owner) was really patient in answering my questions and educating me. As time has gone on, I’ve learned some things but with each new challenge, be it a bike trip, a race, or some new bike adventure, the guys have been thorough in their explanations and insightful in offering ideas and information that I would not have known to even ask. So far, I have purchased countless gear and several bikes from them: Litespeed road bike, Trek Fuel mtb, Pivot mtb, and a Lemond cyclocross bike. I purchased the Pivot at the recommendation from John (the magical mechanic that makes all well in my world) and it is my most favorite bike of all time.

Customer Service:
Bikesport offers great customer service. Their experience and knowledge goes deep and broad. You leave feeling like you have covered all of your bases and then some. I highly recommend taking your bike in for servicing by one of the mechanics (ask for Scott, John, or Gabe). Being a female, with minimal mechanical ability, it’s been important to me to feel confident that my bikes are in good mechanical condition. I exclusively use Bikesport for servicing all of my bikes and I have been blessed with many years of safe, enjoyable riding. Additionally, when I needed a new bike immediately (due to a non recoverable crash I had on anther bike), they got me the one I wanted, even when it was the LAST one available in my size the US! Now THAT is customer service!!!!

Other Comments:
I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone visiting the area who wants to check out a cool shop and for anyone who is interested in purchasing a new bike or getting your current bike repaired. Their helpful attitude and knowledge will most definitely guide you in the right direction. You’ll end up with a bike that you love and a shop that you love to visit.

Shop Summary:
I originally discovered Bikesport around twenty years ago when I first moved to Houston. I had a bike that I had owned for about ten years and wanted it rebuilt from the ground up. No other bike shop in town would give me anything but grief (wanting to sell me another bike instead). Bikesport stepped up to the plate and did a fantastic job. I have subsequently had this shop handle all of my service needs over the years, and I have NEVER had a complaint. The people at Bikesport are friendly, knowledgeable and PROFESSIONAL. That bike turns thirty this year and is still on the road. However, with all of the advances in bicycle design over the years, I was finally convinced that it was time for a new bike (Bikesport staff helped me in this decision). Bikesport built me the bike that I have dreamed of my entire life. It is a custom steel frame from Soulcraft. Bikesport did the original design and fit and built the bike. They have the BEST service department and sales staff that I have ever seen in the bicycle business, and I've been at this a long time.

Other Comments:
Every other bike shop I have dealt with (being out of town, needing something on Monday (Bikesport is closed on Mondays), etc.), has disappointed me in one way or another. I just have patience and wait until I can get back to Bikesport to get THINGS PUT BACK RIGHT AGAIN. I’m spoiled, I guess.
I'm not exactly a weekend warrior. I ride every day that the weather allows, and in Houston that is almost every day.

Shop Summary:
One of the more convenient bike shops in Houston; open until 8 on some weekdays is rare. The employees are not just knowledgeable and very personable, but they are all very accomplished riders unlike the typical bike barn college kids - these guys do this for a living. They have the best selection I've found of miscellaneous parts on hand, and I've heard very good things about the service dept. The only negative I can think of is that they don't carry a very large new bike inventory.
