Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels) that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»
Cottonwood Cyclery

What are we?

We are a bicycle and Skateboard shop, located in the city of Cottonwood Heights, UT.

Who are we?

Cottonwood Cyclery was founded to provide the cycling community of the greater Salt Lake area with a place to call their own.

We don't focus on bikes we focus on our customers and their needs, essentially we are building the store around you and your needs.

We are racers & recreationalists beginners and enthusiasts.

We can remember back to when we started, we have enjoyed racing, long epic rides or just following our child around the block on their first rides.

We understand that not everybody can afford or wants a $5000.00 bike but are happy and excited to accommodate those who do.

We love what we do and we love the people that we do it with.

We have partaken in almost every aspect of the sport, from BMX Racing, to the local crit series to commuting & touring.

We have never been very good at any of them but we were having fun, and isn't that what it's really all about?

Shop Summary:
Always willing to help with any bike problem people have.

Customer Service:
Won't try to upsell you to the latest and greatest. They'll sell you the bike you need at the right price.

Other Comments:
They don't swamp you with a lot of "bikease" like most other shops. They keep it simple and answer your questions with making you feel like you don't know anything about bikes etc...

Shop Summary:
Shop is fun fun fun, perfectly located and full of the stuff you need, you want, and stuff that you are going to want soon. Additionally, it is full of people who want to help you enjoy mountain biking.

Customer Service:
Old School. They love serious bikes, but don't make you feel like you have to be serious about it.

Other Comments:
Ladies (and I am one), Allan and the boys will build you a bike that you will love. It will fit you. And it will love you. It will climb anything that can be climbed, go down anything that you dare, and may even do it without you. They take care of boys too.

Shop Summary:
Clean shop, Road Bikes, Mountain, BMX, a little of everything in there. Its off of Bengal Highway so its right on the way to the Canyons, which is great for picking up a extra spare tire on the way to the trail. Great mechanics too.

Customer Service:
I was impressed with the customer service. Brought in my bike and it was done right there on the spot. Allan knows his stuff, fixed my rear derailer and its running smooth. Also let me know about my loose head set, which is one part I don't want to break while im riding, thanks!

Other Comments:
This is my bike shop. Great people and great service. And if you want a philly cheesesteak, Allan knows the best places.

Shop Summary:
First stopped in when Alan was just getting the shop off the ground. He was instantly likeable and seemed to know his stuff. I was very hopeful that he would make it work. I need not have worried; the shop is now thriving and has expanded to the entire building from it's original "one room and a storage shed" format. They now have full lines of apparrel, gear, and accessories to meet any cyclist's needs.

Customer Service:
Alan's strong philosphy of customer service and willingness to tackle any repair challenges is instilled in all of his staff. They also have the best repair turn-around time of any shop I've been to. on more than one occasion Alan has either offered to loan or loaned me a bike to keep me on the trails when needed repairs were going to take longer than expected.
