Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels) that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»
Bicycles Unlimited

Bikes Unlimited is the biggest shop in my area. They carry several brands not only for serious mountain and road bikes, but they're the only shop that has any real selection of kids bikes in town. Very smart and experienced mechanics. This is also the only shop around that I don't feel like i'm getting talked down to from the sales staff. I always have a great experience when I go there and if they don't have what I need in stock, they find it for me. I ride mostly all mountain stuff but my roadie friends are also happy with the shop experience there. I would absolutely recommend them to locals or visitors. They helped me get started in the sport and have kept me going for a long time now.

Shop Summary:
Where are the employees that could round out the experience with pleasant, informative conversation. Lots of good equiptment. Poor Bike service.

Customer Service:
Customer Service: You will find BETTER customer service at Red Rock Cyclery as well as Over the Edge- In Hurricane. The difference is Bicycles unlimited has a fan base established and if you are not part of that, you are welcome to just take a ticket and get in line. (beware the line might be 2 or 3 weeks.) How you are treated and how you are catered to will not even come close to either of the afore metioned shops.

Other Comments:
As for the recommendation for new riders. There are two routes to consider when buying a new bike 1st) buy a bike you will replace in less than a year because it was sized wrong or it was recommended based on the sales margin not on an assessments of the customers needs. (Thanks Bicycles unlimited). And then you find someone who really sells bikes because they are so passionate about riding and a whole new world opens up. -OR- skip the first crap- And find the person passionate about the sport from the begining and build a relationship with them. Passion is definitely a stumbling block for bicycles unlimited.
To clarify- My experience has been that there passion is not about helping people.

Shop Summary:
Great clean shop with something for everyone and big enough to have a selection of pretty much everything. Perfect place to go for anyone from a complete novice up to racers needing high end parts or repairs.

Customer Service:
Very approachable staff that is willing and able to help. Nate and Jay keep my bikes running great. You will not find better mechanics in southern Utah. The sales staff is always able to find whatever parts I need.

Other Comments:
Highly recommended from someone who started many years ago not knowing anything to an avid rider. They have helped me through every step.
