Shop Summary:
Bad experience that could have been avoided. My buddy and I planned a trip to Moab from out of town, and called to schedule a shuttle up to Burro Pass a few days ahead of time. The guy that took our reservation required a CC, so I figured they were running a good operation. I was wrong.

I was told it was a slow season, which I understand. But he promised us that if a shuttle didn't run (they needed 4 passengers), they'll make some calls and arrange another ride for us with another company. He also said he'd call us to let us know what was going on.

We show up at 8am for an 8:30 shuttle (were told to be there by 8:15am), and were told the shuttle wasn't running. The girls at the desk literally laughed at us when we explained what happened. They didn't make any phone calls on our behalf as promised, and didn't seem the least bit concerned about how they came across.

Even at $50 ($25x2) they aren't losing any money, and the good will it would have generated to run a shuttle at "break even" would have resulted in a 5 star review. But it's clear they do not care about how they treat folks, so I strongly suggest you frequent a different shuttle and different bike shop in Moab.

Shop Summary:
I took a group of scouts to Moab and rented bikes from Moab Cyclery. I rented the bikes for 2 days and paid them well for it. Right from the shop one of us got a pinch flat, which wasn't a huge surprise. What was a surprise is that two of the four tubes that the gave us already had flats, which caused us to get stranded on the trail twice. Jacques has zero customer service skills and should not be running this place. For a group of 9, I could barely get him to give me more than a couple tubes and patch kits each time we went back to the shop. The second time we came back they again gave us tubes that were already popped. 2 of the bike techs told me that Jacques orders the cheapest crap he can find and that this happens quite often. Additionally, Jacques tried to charge us a late fee for being a few minutes after 5, even though all his techs were busy working on a line up of bikes already. I have rented from many other shop in Moab, and I will never return to Moab Cyclery. Put your money to better use at Poison Spider, or any other shop that will treat you well.

Customer Service:
Jaques = 0. Everyone else I dealt with were ok.

Shop Summary:
On my trip to Moab (April 2-9 2010) I took advantage of their very competitive price for a one week rental and got to ride a Santa Cruz Tallboy and an Ellsworth Epiphany. I can't say enough good things about them as a store; from the folks that secured my reservation to the guys in service who got me quickly and kindly set-up and out of the shop - everything was smooth. My friends and I also took advantage of a 9am shuttle for Porcupine Rim mid-week, when we were too lazy to ride out of town, and everything went very smoothly and on time - well worth the money.

Customer Service:
Excellent - I'd rent again from them without blinking and I am seriously considering buying one of their rental bikes (fell in love with the Epiphany) - their entire fleet is pretty sick.

Shop Summary:
I come to the Moab area from Boulder on a regular basis. Usualy with friends but often alone to enjoy some peaceful riding. These are truly the best trails in the world. I have had repairs done at Moab Cyclery quite a few times. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and will drop what they are doing to help out with a quick repair. They were also quite willing to give advice in order to to do your own repairs while out on the trail. I have been riding for many years. These guys are truly some of the best.

Customer Service:
Excelent! Tubes, tyres, wheels, etc. etc. The staff is very helpfull. They were even quick to tell me what I realy did not need. It is comforting to know that they were not just trying to get my money. What was realy nice is that they remembered me from the first time that I was there.

Other Comments:
All around a great shoppe. I recomend taking a tour with one of there expert guides. It gives you the opportunity to get right to the trailhead with no detours or getting lost. Thew will even pack and carry your lunch.
