Bike Stop

Located in downtown Culpeper, the Bike Stop has been owned and operated by Robert Leftwich for over 20 years. There is also a second location in downtown Warrenton. Great prices! Great service! Also, check out their skateboard and snowboard equipment.

Shop Summary:
Downtown Culpeper, VA off of Main street on W. Culpeper. Can't miss it.

You walk in, and all you see are great bikes, and a service area. I didn't see a bad bike or piece of equipment in the place, and it is fully stocked with just about everything you need.

Customer Service:
AMAZING. I ride a small frame, which is hard to find. They didn't have the bike I was looking for in my size, but unlike EVERY other shop in VA, they ordered it for me without my guarantee of buying it. They encouraged me to come and try it out to make sure I like it.

After driving the nearly 3 hours to get to the store, Eric took the time to show me around the bike. He was EXTREMELY patient with all of my questions, and gave me more information than I asked for. The service area was quick with any and all adjustments.

Furthermore, everyone in the store was COMPLETELY honest. I asked for their criticisms of the bike, and they told me what problems they felt it had. It felt like I was buying a bike from a friend rather than a salesman.

Other Comments:
I can't write this review without mentioning the price. They sold me a 2009 Cannondale Rize 4 for $1400, when it retails for $2450. That's over $1000 off the price.

On top of that, I bought some equipment, and Eric discounted all of that as well. $120 shoes? More like $98. $40 pump? Try $32.

I fully intend to buy everything I can from this store from now on. Amazing. Thanks guys!

Shop Summary:
The Bike Stop is located in downtown Culpeper. It was opened in 1984 by Bob Leftwich.

Customer Service:
The Bike Stop has excellent customer service. When I was a new to road biking the shop owner spent extra time with me so I could understand the sport. I travel over 70 miles one way to get the customer care that I cannot get in my hometown at the chain stores. Prices are exceptional, they are always glad to see me. I contribute my success in my biking events to the staff at The Bike Stop; they even worked after hours to get my bike ready for my first century ride. They are 100%!

Shop Summary:
I've been going to the Bike Stop since 1993. It has grown considerably in the past 13 years. Bought my first mountain bike from the Bike Stop, and I continue to support this store even though I live about 90+ minutes away. The owner is a wealth of knowledge and does a lot for the local cycling community. If he's not leading rides, building trails, or wrenching at charity rides and races, he's in his store.

Customer Service:
Customer service is excellent. The only downfall is that sometimes on weekends during the summer the Bike Stop is so busy that they cannot spend as much time with each customer as they should. I'm an old face, so I'm more of a friend and not a customer anymore.

Other Comments:
They also have a wide selection of skateboarding and snowboarding equipment. The Bike Stop's prices are also some of the best around. And if they don't have it they will order it for you. Great shop! Best in Central Virginia!
