Shop no longer open

A full services bike shop located minutes from some of the East Coasts most technically demanding rocky trails. The Massanutten Loop starts and ends within sight of the shops front door. We carry Rocky Mountain and Kona as well as many other brands. We have many BMX bikes and parts. Also carry Eskimo kayaks and Palmer snowboards. This shop is located a quick shot down 66 making it an easy drive from DC. We have maps and info to get you to the trail and riding. If you ride Elizaabeths Furnace you should venture into Strasburg and check this little shop out. We always have some cool big bikes laying around to look at or test ride. It is a laid back shop with a dog and a slew of people usually just hanging out. We can rebuild your fork and fix just about anything to do with a bike. You can also get your snowboard waxed. With low overhead, we offer competative pricing on some of the best bikes on the market. The shop is rider owned and operated so you will always be talking to someone who knows what biking is all about. If you looking for a guide to show you the local trails we can also do that. If you want the full tour we can arrange shuttle, bike, food, the works, but if you just want someone to ride with that knows the trails, some gas money and some lunch usually does the trick. If you are into downhill, we are having the 4th annual Bunice on the Rocks coming up Feb. 24th. This bragging rights race has been known to turn out some pretty stiff competition by some of the Valleys finest riders, followed by a spirited awards ceremony that usually rivals the race. email mmchale@halfmoonbikes.com if you would like an invitation to attend. If you would like mountain bike instruction, area legend Aaron Johnson will give private instruction for an hourly rate. Aaron is known to be one of the most skilled technical riders in the valley with close to 20 years of mountain biking experience in the Shenandoah Valley area. With hundreds and hundreds of miles of trails and thousands of acres of national forest in our back yard it is hard not to know what works and what doesnt for mountain biking this area. If you want first rate bikes and service check us out. www.halfmoonbikes.com or call 540.465.4435
