Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: Like one other poster mentioned - it all depends on who you talk to there. I've gone in and received some very good advice from the repair department that helped me do some repairs on my own, and other times, it was very clear that the person "helping" me had no clue about bikes. My suggestion is to talk with them in depth, if they know what they're talking about, go ahead and have "that person" do repairs, or get purchase advice from "that person". If it's obvious that they don't know what they are talking about - ask to speak to and get help from someone else. There are some really knowledgeable people there. Don't be afraid to ask for better service - that's what they are there for, and I'm sure the owners / managers would rather have you ask for bettter service than just walk away. One big question I have is WHY DO ALL BIKE SHOPS ACT LIKE THE LOUSY ECONOMY ISN"T AFFECTING THEM ? They sell their bikes at MSRP, and make a huge deal about a sale when the largest discount to be found is a measley 5% - 10% - and that's only on a few select items. If they were more realistic on their pricing - I probably would have purchased 2 bikes in the past year. The economy sucks - where's the real discounts ??? Customer Service: Good

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: I couldn't agree more with the other posters on how lame this shop is. Their customer service is hit and miss depending on who you talk to, but I've never talked to anyone there who really knows what they're talking about. The repair shop is an absolute joke, the tecnicians have attitude AND they suck at repairing bikes. They had to look up on the internet how to install a fork with a carbon steer tube. I finally had to say, just give me the bike back and I'll take it somewhere else. This shop would be super convenient for me, but I can't bring myself to go in there anymore. Customer Service: I worked in customer service in a ski shop for 9 years, I know good customer service when I see it, this is not it. Other Comments: This repair shop is the most incompetent I've ever seen. I'm even shaking my head thinking back on it as I'm writing this.

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: Seems like an average shop. Customer Service: Called them looking for a hard to find part on the off chance that they might have it. Bingo!, part dept. said they has just received said part. I had the part in hand 20 minutes later and $20.00 cheaper than the cheapest online price I could find. Bottom line: I got lucky, but it made a good enough impression on me that I'll be going back to see them again in the future.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: I'm starting to wonder why I bother going into Greg's in Bellevue anymore. The folks they are hiring are really into drinking their ice mochas and selling low-end bikes and that's about it. Customer Service: My last trip in I needed to get a helmet and the customer rep was not happy that I was interrupting her inventory. She brought me the wrong helmet and I had to find someone else to help me.
Repairs are a joke there. I was told five different reasons on why they couldn't repair my bike until they finally 'fessed up and said they had no room for repairs. Why not just say that up front?
Other Comments: They stock low-end parts, charge MSRP or worse, and you feel like you're in Wal-Mart not a LBS. It's a shame too. Their Bellevue location would be very convenient for me but I can't bring myself to walk in there anymore.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: This shop is okay. They have all of the essentials and if you ask, the employees will give you any help you require. The best thing is that they don't hover in the eaves waiting for the next cycling weeney to come in the door to be pounded upon with the unerving "Can I help you". Come on, those of us who actually ride know what we want and typically know where to find it in a well laid out shop. Customer Service: See above for the service anouncement. But just to make it clear, if you need assistance, ask. Other Comments: Honestly, Gregg's is a pretty average shop. But when it comes to their high products they are willing to haggle on the end price. There are a lot of lesser shops available, with a tighter budget, who won't negotiate, and then there are the glamorous "markets" who are about selling.
Give me the average shop any day.
