Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels) that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»
Black Diamond Bike & Backcountry

This shop rocks. Let Peter and the crew prove this point no other shop in the region comes close. The trails around the shop are the best in the area so drop by Black Diamond Bikes and pick up a map and maybe Peter will let you demo one of many test bikes on hand. He also rents skis and snowboards.

Shop Summary:
This shop rocks. None better in the area. They have everything! Plenty of bikes from Specialized and Giant and I think even a few Cannondales, I'm not sure though... Plenty of parts like seats and stuff.

Customer Service:
Customer service is awesome. They help you find the right bike or part with no problems. They are all really nice there too.

Other Comments:
I can't wait to get my first Full Suspension from there.

Shop Summary:
This shop never seems to have what I need in stock. Last time I went in I just wanted an External Bottom Bracket. Not a single one in stock for my mountain bike. New Location in the back of a huge building is not good. Outta sight... Outta mind.

Customer Service:
Customer Service seems fine.

Other Comments:
I'm 0 for 3 in getting parts for my bike there. Need to stock more replacement parts. I think they messed up with their new location. Its a nice store but just hidden. Great access to trails behind the shop tho.

Shop Summary:
Black Diamond Bike and Back country has a large impressive shop for such a small town. I have never asked for a part for an emergency repair that they didn't have on hand. They have a good stock of bikes, parts, accessories, and clothing.

Customer Service:
Most shops I visit have friendly people who will answer your questions. But Black Diamond is one of only a very few shops where you truly feel welcome, no matter if you are a know nothing novice looking for your first bike, or a seasoned veteran. The entire staff is always friendly and easy to talk to. When they speak to you, or ask you how you are doing, you can tell that they are genuinely interested, not just saying it as part of work. They are mountain bikers, and their recomendations on parts or accessories are always spot on. They built the local trails and ride them, so if you have any trail related questions, they have no problem answering them. I have never had to wait for service. They are well staffed and there is always someone available to help me as soon as I walk in.

Other Comments:
The local trails are among the best in the state. You can ride for an hour, or all day. You can make an infinite number of loops to match your riding style and desired distance. Black Diamond Bike has very accurate maps of the local trail system, and is very involved with the new land owners working to keep the trails open.
