Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels)
that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your
customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML
code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»
REI Redmond
This location sells Cannondale, Marin, K2, Novara, Ellsworth, and Electra.
Top notch shop and techs, great bike fitters, great wheel builders, bottom line...they are great.
Shop Summary: The bike shop rebuild my late 90's first edition Kona King Kikapu light weight full suspension mtb. When no one else in the entire Pacific Northwest or country, including Kona in BC didn't have parts for rebuilding the rear suspension for my King Kikapu; the guys at REI Redmond got Kona's supplier in Taiwan to find some bushing repair kits for the first edition King Kikapu and rebuild my bike as tight as new!! That's what I call full survice. It was kind of interesting to see them testing the bike in the parking lot with full smiles.
Customer Service: Went over and beyond reason to rebuild the rear suspension on my first edition Kona King Kikapu. Replaced the xt rear derailuer and cassette. Tune the bike so nice, it hasn't needed a new tune up. Tight, tight, tight... Nice job guys, the factory engineers would love to know how you got my rear suspension so tight and smooth running. They lubed the Marzocchi Superfly Ti Air forks and Fox Racing Shox, nice, nice, nice. He said he put some "HONEY" and new oil!! Nice!!
Other Comments: With the shop mechanics help and careful selection of parts, my bike is below 25 lbs with mtb tires and slightly above 23 lbs in road cruizer configuration. This is a full suspension mtb pushing 20 years. My old age and back surgery has forced me to reconfigure the mtb into a light weight cruizer. Boy to I get looks when people see this polished Al thing with bald german gumwall high pressure light wt balloon tires!! That Kona King Kikapu is old but still functioning with a new lease on life, just like me! Thank you REI!
