Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: Living in the suburbs of one of America's best biking cities, Portland, Oregon, we're used to having to commute for quality bike selection and service. Thank goodness we've now got a "neighborhood" shop in Camas, Wash., literally a minute's ride from sweet singletrack riding in Camas' Lacamas Park. Owner Ed Fischer and his staff know mountain bikes inside and out, because they ride nearly every day. Customer Service: The staff has great enthusiasm for bikes, and doesn't hesitate to take the time to understand why I'm in the shop in the first place. I went in for a cable lock for my daughter to use when she rides to and from school. The selection was impressive -- everything from affordable cables and locks for the appearance of security, all the way up to locks so solid, their makers guarantee to replace your bike if it gets snatched while secured with their product. We ended up with something in the middle, and have been completely satisfied.
