Shop Summary:
I'm new to biking so haven't been to many shops. I went to the Bicycles West shop in Tukwila and they have a good selection of bikes, mainly Treks, and accessories. The shop itself isn't as large as say Cycle Center which is very close by in Renton so the the number of bikes available was less in comparison. The location itself is easily accessible and has a long but slightly narrow parking lot for testing.

Customer Service:
The customer service experience I had couldn't have been better. I'm new to biking and was looking to get into mountain biking specifically. Bicycles West (Tukwila location) was the second shop I visited and ended up working with the owner, Kurt. I told him what I was looking to do and my price range and he showed me various bikes he thought met my needs going into detail about the components on each and explaining why they would be good for what I wanted. I picked out a couple different models which he then fitted me for and brought outside where I spent quite a while test riding in the parking lot. While I was riding he spent time chatting with my gf, who I had brought along, and answering her questions about biking and offering suggestions on good mtb trails to ride in the area. A few times he had to step back inside to help other customers but he let me know in advance and was always back outside when he finished to check how things were going with me. He also brought out a couple other types of bikes for me to ride just to compare with the ones I was interested in so I could get a feel for the differences. (Continued in Other Comments)

Other Comments:
(continued from Cust Service Review) I was so impressed with the service I received I bought my bike (Trek 4500) on the spot. I highly recommend Bicycles West in Tukwila and will definitely go back in the future for any of my bike needs.

Shop Summary:
Huge warehouse with a decent selection of accessories, clothing and bikes. Primarily a Trek shop now.

Customer Service:
Absolutely FAIL!!

Visited last week to pick-up a Trek Cobia and a MirraCo for my son. Sales rep was great to me but to my son, he completely ignored every question he asked and when my son asked to take the bike out for a test ride, he pushed him to the side to help someone just entering the shop.

My son is 7. If you cannot treat him with courtesy and respect, I am not going to by damn thing from you, period.

To sum it up, I went to Greggs Cycle in Alderwood and spent just over $2k on accessories, two bikes, (a Redline and my Cobia)and a few upgrades.

Other Comments:
This used to be a top notch shop. They recently were bought out by the area Trek rep and a new staff was brought in. Customer Service has gone was down and for me, a long time customer, I will never go back.
