Cross Country Rider Shop Summary:
Went there to rent bikes for the day. The staff was responsive and set us up with bikes faily quickly and installed our pedals with no issues. They recommended some trails and gave us a map. The bikes were of average quality, not high end and mine suffered from shifting problems from a bad cable. Customer Service:
It rained while we were out. We headed back to town as soon as possible since the trails were getting muddy and did not want to trash them. Upon our return we were told that there would be a $20 cleaning fee because the bikes were muddy. We were not informed of this ahead of time, nor were we provided any option to clean the bikes ourselves. Other Comments:
Bike rentals are for full day only, no half or hourly rate. The fact that we were only out for 2-3 hours compounded with the cleaning fee left us feeling a bit taken.
