Redstone Cyclery

About Redstone Cyclery

Redstone Cyclery was founded late in 2003 in the beautiful, cozy little town of Lyons, Colorado. Lyons and the northern Rockies foothills have a great local scene of both hardcore and recreational cyclists. Locally owned and operated, Redstone Cyclery was born of a true passion for cycling and a love for the local community. Combining those two passions, advocacy is a major focus of what we do. As cyclists, we are constantly struggling to maintain our rights and to broaden our access. A lot of shops talk about advocacy, but lip service doesn't get us more places to ride. We are an IMBA dealer member and are very politically active in the Northern Foothills area. I am also personally on the Lyons Pathways Commission to work to make Lyons a more bike friendly town. Check out our Advocacy Page to see the latest of what's going on.

Although the crew here loves mountain bike cross country and trail riding, we spend a lot of our time on the road as well. Redstone is a bike riders bike shop. If it has two wheels and pedals, we're pretty happy about riding it.. Our customers appreciate the fact that we ride what we sell. Years of bike shop experience, bicycle industry experience, and bike racing at the highest levels has taught us what works and what doesn't. We're here to help you find what works for you. We also know the surrounding area better than anyone - roads and trails. Any picture you find on this website has been snapped in the general Lyons area by Redstone. If you're looking for a quick spin around town, a nice rolling road ride, or an epic mission in the mountains on the road or on dirt, you've come to the right place.

Shop Summary:
Good higher end bike lineup - Turner, Intense, Transition, Redline.

Customer Service:
Dave's customer service is excellent. He is knowledgeable about bikes and repair. He is super friendly especially if you want to talk about bikes. Most importantly, he won't try to sell you on a bike if it isn't the right bike for you. This is a tough trait to find in most bike shops.

Shop Summary:
Small shop located on a corner in sleepy Lyons, Colorado. Don't let the small building fool you, though, for inside is a man named Dave who will help you with whatever bike issue you might have. His knowledge about bikes and riding is very impressive. I have had several other bike mechanics "fix" my bike, only to discover later that the fix was temporary or done poorly. Not so with Dave. He knows what he is doing, and why. This kind of knowledge is rare in the bike world.

Customer Service:
Better than you will find anywhere else.

Shop Summary:
Great shop just down the hill from Hall Ranch. It seems that there's always some new bling in the shop - sometimes it's the new XO stuff, sometimes it's that sweet Intense or Turner, and sometimes it's a surprise.

Customer Service:
Fantastic! Dave worked extra hard to get my worn our rear der adjusted several times, taking the time to explain why it wasn't shifting right (it was bent, I missed that, he made it work that way for a couple months!). Then when I finally broke it up at Hall, I coasted down to the shop and he immediately put my bike in the stand, installed a new der, adjusted it, and I headed right back up to Hall to finish my ride just 15 minutes later!

Shop Summary:
Truely a bikers' bike shop. Dave is the best and I can't say enough about him and Redstone! If you are in the market for a new bike, especially a high end bike, this is your place. Everthing is top notch and the customer service is unbelievable. Dave is EXTREMELY competitive in his pricing. You will miss out if you don't give them a shot.

Customer Service:
Words cannot describe how great the customer service is before, during and after a purchse.

Other Comments:
Hands down one of the best shops on the front range if not anywhere in the states.

Dave runs a great shop and is active on these forums. He has a knowledge of all things bike related. He carries great gear and parts for anything you might need on your way to Hall Ranch.
Every Tuesday a night ride leaves from the shop and he keeps the site up to date at: http://www.redstonecyclery.blogspot.com/

Customer Service:
Great mechanic, Dave will make your bike work for you.
